Cookies are small data files placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Website operators can read them to recognise a returning browser and to remember your preferences between pages and visits.

How long a cookie stays on your device, its lifespan, depends on whether it is a “persistent” or a “session” cookie:

• “Session cookies” last only until your browser is closed. They are then deleted.
• “Persistent cookies” remain on your device until they expire or you delete them.

Who owns and controls a cookie depends on whether it is a “first-party” or a “third-party” cookie:

• Cookies owned and controlled by us are “first-party cookies”.
• Cookies owned and controlled by parties other than NRY are “third-party cookies”, the third party, not NRY, is responsible for how that data is used.

The Site sets no third-party cookies today. One third-party service runs on pages that carry a form, Cloudflare Turnstile, the anti-abuse check described under “How Do We Use Cookies?”. Should our use of third-party technology ever grow beyond this, this Statement will name every addition.

Technologies similar to cookies include web beacons and local storage:

• Web beacons (also known as pixel tags) are tiny graphics on a web page or in an e-mail, used to track pages viewed or messages opened.
• Local storage lets a website remember choices you have made or cache data in your browser to improve performance.

The Site uses no web beacons. It uses local storage for exactly one thing: remembering the choices you make in the Cookie Settings panel (nry-cookie-prefs). The section “How Do We Use Cookies?” lists everything the Site stores.

Sparingly. Cookies are commonly grouped by the purpose they serve, whether a cookie is “Strictly Necessary” or a “Targeting” cookie:

• “Strictly Necessary cookies” are required for a website to operate and to provide the services you asked for, setting preferences, logging in, filling in forms. Because they are strictly necessary, they cannot be refused without affecting how a website functions.
• “Targeting cookies” track you to measure marketing, run affiliate programmes, or profile your interests. They may be set by the website itself or by third parties whose services it embeds.

The Site sets exactly one cookie today, and it is Strictly Necessary: it remembers your language preference so the Site loads in your language. It is first-party, lasts only for your browser session, and identifies nothing about you. Alongside it, one local-storage entry remembers the choices you make in the Cookie Settings panel.

We use no Targeting cookies: no advertising, no tracking pixels, and no profiling. For visitor statistics the Site loads Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookie, stores nothing on your device, and reports page views without identifying you. Apart from that and the Turnstile check described below, the Site makes no third-party requests. When you submit a form on the Site, its contents are sent to us by e-mail; the submission stores nothing in your browser and sets no cookie.

If you visit the Site from the EU or UK, we process the Strictly Necessary cookie above on the basis of our legitimate interest under the GDPR, and, if you visit from Germany, under Section 25 II No. 2 TTDSG. We process nothing that would require your consent.

Pages that carry a form load Cloudflare Turnstile, an anti-abuse check that keeps automated spam out of our forms. Turnstile evaluates technical signals from your browser to tell humans and bots apart. It is a strictly necessary security control, processed on the same legal bases as the cookie above, and it is not used to track you across sites; anything it must hold on your device serves security alone. Turnstile is operated by Cloudflare, whose own privacy documentation describes its processing.

Because our single cookie is Strictly Necessary and our visitor statistics set no cookie and identify nobody, the Site runs without a consent banner. You still have every control described below: the Cookie Settings panel in the footer of every page shows everything the Site stores and lets you switch Targeting cookies on or off, a category the Site does not use today. Your choice is saved in your browser and will be honoured should that ever change.

Browser settings: you can configure your browser to accept, reject, or delete cookies, and you can manually delete stored cookies at any time. Similar technologies can usually be managed the same way. The controls vary from browser to browser, see the help menu of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge. If you block all cookies, the Site keeps working, and at most forgets your language choice; clearing the Site's stored data also resets your Cookie Settings choice.

If our use of cookies grows: should we ever introduce analytics that identify you, embedded media, or any technology that reads or writes more than described here, a consent notice will ask you first, the Cookie Settings panel will gain that category so the choice stays yours, and this Statement will name every cookie and third party it brings.

If NRY ever operates additional sites, they will be listed here.

We update this Statement whenever our use of cookies or similar technologies changes — a new tool, a new integration, a wired-up form — and, where needed, for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The update ships in the same release as the change itself.
