An independent wealth manager

Independent management, one view of a family's whole estate.

Its clients' assets sit at several banks by design. That independence is the point. What the firm needed was one view of a family's whole estate, at the depth it runs a mandate, without asking any bank to change how it reports.

One family, many custodians

The firm is an independent wealth manager in the Benelux: a small team of senior specialists, owned by its directors. It holds none of its clients' assets. Its mandates run on portfolios held at the large custodian banks at home and elsewhere in the European Union, with or without an insurance wrapper.

Every custodian reports positions in its own format and on its own calendar. For a family office client with several banks, several managers and private equity holdings alongside, the whole estate existed only as a stack of statements, consolidated by hand before every review.

What the team works from now:

A family's whole estate reviewed as one portfolio, across every bank that holds part of itRisk profile checked against the consolidated position, not one account at a timeFund managers and banking costs compared on one basis, so renegotiation starts from evidence
